Daytime Programming
Requirements for membership in the Daytime Programming Peer Group
Please note that requirements (as outlined below) must be met within the four (4) years preceding one's application for membership or membership review; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production and/or distribution of nationally exhibited audio visual works. All episodes should be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes in length unless defined otherwise specifically for short form programming. Credits from self-published programs alone do not qualify for membership in the Television Academy. Individuals who have received a Primetime, Daytime, or Children's & Family Emmy Nomination, specific to this peer group, within the past four (4) years are eligible for Active membership.
Active Status:
Employment in Daytime Programming for a minimum of two (2) years within the last four (4) years in one or more of the following positions AND areas or in one of the classifications covered by the other peer groups (https://www.emmys.com/academy/organization/peer-groups)
- COSTUME DESIGN & SUPERVISION
- DIRECTOR
- LICENSE AND CLEARANCES
- MARKETING/PUBLICISTS
- MAKEUP ARTISTS/HAIRSTYLISTS
- PERFORMER
- PRODUCER/ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
- PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE/SUPERVISOR
- SCRIPT SUPERVISOR
- SET MASTER PROP/HEAD OF PROPS
- SOCIAL MEDIA PRODUCER/DIGITAL PRODUCER
- SOUND
- STUDIO MANAGERS
- TALENT BOOKER/PRODUCER
- TALENT EXECUTIVE
- TELEVISION EXECUTIVE
- WRITER
Associate Status:
Associate membership will extend to any person who is working in a position which would normally qualify for Active membership, but who has not yet compiled sufficient time, Active membership but with a minimum least one (1) year working in Daytime Programming.
ASSISTANT, AUDIENCE COORDINATORS, SET PHOTOGRAPHERS, PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, PROPS ASSISTANT and DEPARTMENT MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR working under the supervision of a person eligible for Daytime Active membership or, works in a creative position in a technical or engineering field with a minimum least one (1) year working in DAYTIME PROGRAMMING.
